Trapiche holds its place as Most Admired Argentine Wine Brand in the World


For the fifth time now, Trapiche, the leading producer and export winery, has been distinguished as the most admired Argentine brand in the world.

Once again, Trapiche has been accoladed for the excellence and variety of its wines, having succeeded in being the only Argentine winery to be selected by the prestigious English publication, Drinks International, and featured in its Top 50: The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands..

Ranking at number 42, Trapiche has become the only Argentine winery to have received this award on five opportunities (in 2014, 2015, 2017 2018 and 2019). The list features other internationally acclaimed brands, such as Sassicaia, Château Latour, Beringer, Château Lafite, Robert Mondavi, Torres, and Guigal, among others..

The results of the competition were issued by a judging panel made up of 100 wine experts, including international buyers, sommeliers, journalists, Masters of Wine, winemakers, wine educators and critics. The criteria for the selection of the awarded wines include wine quality and constant improvement, reflection of distinctive regional or country characteristics, and ability to respond to the needs and taste of the target audience. Additionally, they need to be very attractive for global marketing.

Daniel Pi, Chief Winemaker, said, “once again, this award fills us with pride and satisfaction, because being ‘admired’ by a large group of experts and maintaining that position over time shows that our hard work, our many years of growth, our team’s efforts and their constant improvement have helped us secure a prominent position abroad and be at the level of some of the greatest players.”
